How to Verify Completion of the IMLS Rules Class

The IMLS Rules Orientation class is required to be completed by all IMLS members once every two years. The two year cycle is the even-odd year. So all IMLS members need to have completed the IMLS Rules class in 2021 or 2022. You can see your completed classes on the IMLS Portal. This is the same place you update your profile and register for classes.

From the IMLS Gateway to see classes you have completed:

1. Click on “Update Profile”
2. Then Click on “Events”
3. Then Click on “My Classes”
4. If you see IMLS Rules Orientation and there is a “Certificate” button and the date you completed was in 2021 or 2022 – then you have met the requirement.
