Application Process for IMLS Board of Directors

2024 IMLS Board of Directors Terms

  • January 2024 – December 2026.
  • Each two-year term position will be decided on by the number of votes received by each candidate.
  • Three candidates for the six IMLS Board of Director seats will serve a two-year term.
  • The small association seat will serve a two-year term.
  • Thereafter, all seats will serve a two-year term.

Responsibilities & Attendance

  • Advise, govern, oversee policy, and assist with the leadership and general promotion of the service to support the IMLS’s mission
  • Attend up to twelve (12) IMLS BOD meetings per year
  • Attend special events, functions, and other MLS business as necessary

Eligibility Criteria

  • All candidates must be a current, active Participant or Subscriber, including Appraiser Participants and Subscribers, of IMLS.
  • Must be an active REALTOR® member for at least two (2) years immediately preceding the election.
  • Shall be a member of and maintain membership with a REALTOR® Association served by IMLS for the full term.
  • The Small Association Director must be a primary member in an NSA that is classified as a “small” association by the National Association of REALTORS®.
  • Served on at least one (1) REALTOR® Association Board, Committee, Foundation or IMLS Committee.
  • Be and remain in good standing with primary REALTOR® Association and IMLS for the full term.
  • No more than three (3) individuals employed by or affiliated with the same real estate firm may simultaneously serve on the IMLS Board of Directors.

Timeline

  • October 3 – October 26, 2023 – Applications for open director seats accepted.
  • November 6, 2023 – IMLS Nominating Committee to appoint 2024 IMLS Board of Directors (BOD) Members.
  • November 8, 2023 – IMLS Current Board of Directors approve 2024 IMLS BOD appointed members as recommended by the IMLS Nominating Committee.
  • November 9, 2023 – Boise Regional Realtors Board of Directors approve 2024 IMLS BOD appointed members as recommended by the IMLS Board of Directors.
  • November 21, 2023 – 2024 IMLS Board of Directors announced.
